The majority of hairs on the head tend to grow in naturally occurring clusters of 1-4 follicles. Thinner nape hairs (ideal for hairline edges) grow as single haired follicles. They require specialized extraction tools in order to be safely removed. br br Dr. Umar uses a specially designed punch, known as UGraft to reliably extract many types of hairs throughout the body. This instrumentation was used to refine and advance a NW3 case using 3500 grafts derived from the head donor area and nape. The objective was to create a soft natural hairline and reverse his Norwood 3 state to counter the appearance of baldness. br br Thinner nape hair was used to create the detail of a natural, soft looking and feathery hairline. The remaining grafts from the head were used for density and fullness.
