This year, Jericho is celebrating its 10,000th birthday. This city in the West Bank is one the oldest inhabited towns in the world. Following the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1990, it was placed under the control of the Palestinian Authority. But 20 years on, it is still struggling to establish a solid economy against the backdrop of an increasingly fragile peace process.
