International art collectors are still buying but the market is becoming more selective, say experts, as top international galleries gathered in Paris for the international contemporary art fair FIAC. This year's event told some galleries they could not take part, seeking to present a smaller but more selective image as sales start to pick up again after two years of economic upheaval.
