The Western allies agreed on Saturday to start pulling NATO-led forces off the Afghan battlefield next year but vowed not to leave the beleaguered Kabul regime prey to a still unbeaten Taliban. Meanwhile a small group of anti-war protestors poured red paint over themselves a few hundred metres from the NATO summit venue.
