pbr Police have released dramatic CCTV footage of a shopkeeper and his son grappling with a pair of robbers.br ppbr The images capture the moment the brave 46-year-old and his son, aged 25, tried to fend off the robbers despite them being armed with a handgun and a large knife.br ppbr The robbers eventually fled empty-handed from the Gonca supermarket in Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, leaving the victims cut, bruised and lucky to have escaped more serious injury.br ppbr The two suspects, one armed with the gun and the other with the knife, entered the premises on December 21 and demanded cash from the till.br ppbr When a pistol was held to the shopkeeper's head his son lunged forward to tackle the gunman. His father grapped with the knifeman.br ppbr The fight spilled out into the street before the offenders eventually ran off.br ppbr The incident is being linked to an armed robbery which took place minutes earlier in nearby Kentish Town.br ppbr DC Dawn Bolitho from Finchley Flying Squad, said: "These are clearly men who are fully prepared to use violence and we would urge anyone with information to please contact us as soon as possible.
