pbr The woman who designed Princess Diana's wedding dress has revealed how she went to great lengths to keep it a secret.br ppbr Fashion designer Elizabeth Emanuel who made the iconic dress along with her then husband David, had just left college when she got the call that almost every designer dreams of - to make a royal wedding dress.br ppbr Elizabeth says that when Buckingham Palace announced that they were the designers things got a little crazy: "There was so much media interest, all wanting to know what the dress was going to look like and of course we couldn't say anything. But every night, they (the media) would rummage through the rubbish to see if they could find bits of fabrics or threads.br ppbr "We used to leave bits of different coloured threads and things to put them on the wrong track and we had to put blinds up so that people couldn't peer through the windows. We brought in security guards," she said.br ppbr But lessons were learned from Diana's big day and with less than 100 days to go before the upcoming royal wedding, the name of the designer has yet to be announced.br ppbr Elizabeth says that in comparison to Diana, Kate Middleton will have a better sense of what she wants:"With Diana, she was very young when we were introduced to her and fashion was not one of her big interests so she didn't really have her own sense of style.br ppbr "But Kate Middleton does. She's worked in fashion. She knows what suits her so she's probably got a very firm idea of what kind of dress she wants.
