The flagship of the Italian navy, the 'Guiseppe Garibaldi', is taking an active part in the NATO-led campaign in Libya. Anchored off the Libyan coast, journalists were welcomed aboard the aircraft carrier to witness its operational capabilities after US Defence Secretary Robert Gates issued a stinging rebuke over cuts for essential munitions.
