Lamictal is used for:br Treating certain types of seizures. It may be used alone or with other medicines. It may also be used to delay the occurrence of mood problems in certain patients with bipolar disorder. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.Lamictal is an anticonvulsant. Exactly how it works is not known.br br How to use Lamictal:br Use Lamictal as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.br br * An extra patient leaflet is available with Lamictal . Talk to your pharmacist if you have questions about this information.br * Take Lamictal by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.br * Lamictal has a bitter taste. Do not crush or chew before swallowing. The tablet may be broken in half if your doctor tells you to do so.br * Continue to take Lamictal even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses.
