This is the first time Ukraine is hosting the water-based Formula 1 race and officials want to make a good impression to win the right to hold it again in the future. Our correspondents bring you more.br br On the 30th of July, the Formula 1 Powerboat World Cup hit the water at Vyshgorod near Kiev, Ukraine. This is the first time Ukraine has hosted the race.br br The high-speed boats start from the pier.br br Almost immediately after the start, a component of one of the boats breaks loose and later the boat leaves the route.br br Three hundred million people from one hundred countries around the world are watching the event live.br br And about eighty thousand people in Ukraine are watching the competition from the stands and hills on the embankment in Vyshgorod.br br All the tickets, except VIP ones, were distributed for free.br br Team Abu Dhabi from the United Arab Emirates took first place.br br The winner, who holds the Gold Cup for the fifth time, shares his impressions.br br [Ahmed Al Hameli, Winner of the Competition]:br “I am happy for my boat.
