of the research chemicals that we know of today were discovered by Dr. Alexander Shulgin, 78 of California. Dr. Shulgin performed research chemicals for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. He had a license and was permitted to perform experiments research chemicals. Over the years, he tested many different combinations and compounds. His findings have led to many more findings and discoveries of modern day research chemicals. However, after publishing these "cookbooks", Shulgin's license was revoked because the DEA believed that there was a connection between using the research chemical drugs and his books.
