http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - It was pure optimism that ran through the DVF show at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012. Though Diane von Furstenberg had to hold her show on September 11, she didn't let the day's tragedy 10 years prior affect the mood of the runway. Instead, she used it and her Spring/Summer 2012 collection to evoke optimism and a new beginning. There were, of course, DVF's signature wrap dresses and prints but other pieces conveyed purity like white dresses at the start of the show, happy florals, flashy disco looks, and bright Spring colors like peach and purple. If anything, DVF knows how to keep the mood late. At the end of the show, she gave out American flags to the unsuspecting, but eager audience.
