Wall Street protest targets bank

Occupy Wall Street protesters turn their attention to the New York headquarters of JP Morgan Chase bank.br The demonstrators are demanding fairer distribution of wealth after the government bailout of banks during the U.S. financial crisis.br They delivered their message in letters addressed to JP Morgan Chase boss Jamie Dimon.br The letters were handed to a man outside the bank under the watchful eye of employees who drew mixed reactions from the protesters.br SOUNDBITE: Ryan Maurer, protester, saying (English):br "They view us as, you know, entertainment and it's not like they have helped us since I've been alive, you know. It's not like they've ever helped us in our lifetime and they're not looking out for the public good up there. They're looking out for their own pocket."br SOUNDBITE: Tom Herman, union worker, saying (English):br "I think the people up there are workers and middle-class America for the most part just like everybody that's here today. It's the people on the top floor that need to hear the message and I think the message is trickling up."br In Washington DC student protesters affiliated to the Occupy movement rallied outside the offices of student loan giant Sallie Mae.br They're demonstrating against student loan and debt policy which they say is abusive.br There were some scuffles during the protest, a larger one of which is planned for later on Saturday.
