The mangrove swamps play an important role for the fishing communities in Madagascar. They help reproduce marine life in areas where the impact of overfishing and industrial trawlers has seen stocks decline in recent years. Now one NGO is working alongside communities to allow fauna to regenerate and keep their livelihoods alive.
