Farmers in Afghanistan are amongst the poorest in the world. The most vulnerable are women farmers. Christian Aid works with its partners in different districts in Afghanistan to support women farmers. They give training in animal husbandry and provide goats, particularly supporting vulnerable widows. The goats provide much needed food and wool to these families. They are also able to make a living from selling the goat's wool in the local market.
