Referring JSY scheme Rahul Gandhi said, the scheme meant for the benefit of the poor women is also being misused in Uttar Pradesh. “Every poor woman is entitled to get Rs 1,400 under this scheme to meet the expenses for the delivery. But in Uttar Pradesh the funds meant for the poor women do not reach them. Instead, the women are forced to bribe the authorities. The Youth Congress workers could gather information through the RTI that in the record books same women are shown to deliver baby every week. This clearly indicates that the money that should have actually reached the poor women is not reaching them.
