Designing Client/Server Systems

Designing Client/Server Systems

In the closet at work, as we were cleaning out, I found an old video branded simply with a rainbow Apple logo and "Desiging ClientServer Systems" and produced in 1992.br br It's part of a series of "Apple Seminars for One" and shows how several big enterprises, in the late 80s and early 90s, were using Apple computers to work with databases, servers, and users, when Information Systems were transitioning from mainframeterminal relationships to serverrich desktop workstations.br br It's dated now — 20 years old, in fact — but it's an informative look back at where tech was back then, and amusing how things are transitioning back to serverterminal relationships these days. It's also an interesting video from the days before the newton, talking about very early mobile computing.br br --br Video is ©1992 Apple Computers, Inc., posted here for purposes of education and historical computing documentation.
