Meet Bob.br br He looks like a normal cat with four legs and fur.br br But his tale is something to behold.br br Five years ago, British busker and street magazine seller James Bowen found Bob in the street, injured.br br Bowen nursed Bob back to health and the two have since become inseparable.br br Now, their unlikely story of fur and friendship have been made into a book called "A Street Cat Named Bob".br br SOUNDBITE: James Bowen, Street Busker, saying (English) :br br "How we have looked after each other and how we have bonded and how we have progressed and healed each others problems you know and we have unconditional love for each other, well most of the time."br br The two have been a familiar sight to Londoners and one day caught the eye of literary agent Mary Pachnos.br br SOUNDBITE: Literary Agent For Aitken Alexander, Mary Pachnos, saying (English):br br "Well I was walking past a supermarket in Islington which is where I live and I happened to see this man - a rather attractive man - with this big ginger cat sitting on top of a load of Big Issues and I just thought, that is interesting, you never see men with cats selling the Big Issue is it's normally dogs and I had already represented several successful animal books like Marley and Me and various other books and I knew there was a market for it."br br She isn't saying how much the book deal was worth, only that it was "significant" and could change Bob and Bowen's lives forever.br br The book will be translated into seven languages and has the potential to be made into a movie.br br SOUNDBITE: Mary Pachnos, Literary Agent For Aitken Alexander, saying (English):br br "Yes well I think there is every chance it could be made into a film, but actually funnily enough the films tend to come quite a while after the book comes out because if you really want a successful film it's got to be in America."br br Bob has become somewhat of a celebrity, with his own Facebook and Twitter account, something Bowen says Bob takes in his stride.br br SOUNDBITE: James Bowen, Street Busker, saying (English) :br br "He loves being the centre of attention, he loves the spotlight, he knows what a camera is, he's a poser."br br As for Bowen, his life hasn't changed all that much, he's still a busker with his four-legged friend friend always at his side, or rather on his back.
