br One of the big challenges in mission-critical database applications is modernizing legacy solutions. When a major Canadian bank needed to modernized its data center architecture to reduce system outages, they turned to Gravic to develop a solution. Gravic helped the bank move from an "activebackup" to an "activeactive" network by combining NonStop server and the Gravic Shadowbase product suite. Gravic are already known as innovators in the bi-directional replication space and created a BASE24 replication solution allowing the bank to meet their goals. This implementation resulted in Gravic winning the Mission-Critical Data award at the Mission-Critical Innovation Awards held in Vienna, Austria just prior to HP Discover.
