According to Chinese government figures, trade between China and Africa has risen by more than 33 per cent annually this decade.br br Last year, the volume of two-way trade almost hit $107bn.br br Resource rich and boasting a market potential of 800 million people, Africa is a key destination for Chinese investment.br br In the first nine months of this year alone, Beijing invested more than $7.8bn in the continent.br br Al Jazeera interviewed Frank Sieren in Beijing, an author and journalist who made a documentary on the booming ties between China and Africa.
