A coconut was connected up to a 240 Volts 50 hertz supply with a 2 kW element as ballasted load.br Electrodes were tapped and inserted with epoxy into the shell as well as a pressure gauge was fitted to monitor the build up of pressure within the device.br After a period of time pressure started to build up and an explosion followed which tipped the Monitor casing over.
