Venus Transit from HD Satellite Footage

Venus Transit from HD Satellite Footage

The transit of Venus across the sun is the rarest predictable event in astronomy. On June 5, 2012 from approximately 6-12pm Eastern Daylight Time, the last transit until the year 2117 took place. The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captured the entire transit in many wavelengths of light and greater-than-HD resolution.
