Bomb kills 26 in Pakistan market

A deadly attack in Pakistan.br br At least 26 people were killed Saturday when bomb planted in a pickup truck exploded at a market in northwest Pakistan.br br The target appeared to be a tribal leader allied with the government against the Pakistani Taliban. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.br br At least 65 people were wounded in the blast.br br (SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) WOUNDED YOUNG MAN, ADAM KHAN, WHO RUNS A SHOP AT LANDI KOTAL BAZAR, SAYING:br br "I was sitting outside the shop. Suddenly this blast happened. I couldn't figure out what happened and I fainted. I woke up in this hospital. The people brought me here after an hour's journey."br br Saturday's attack produced one of the largest bombing death tolls in weeks.br br The Pakistani Taliban are seeking to topple the U.S.-backed government. While suicide attacks have eased in recent months, there are no signs Pakistan's military has broken the back of the group.
