A Delta IV-M+ (5,4) launched from Cape Canaveral tonight at 19:38 Eastern, 00:38 UTC. The rocket carried the Air Force's Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS-4) payload.br br The Delta IV-M+ (5,4) has a 5m diameter payload fairing, a single RS-68 engine with four GEM-60 solid rocket boosters that burn for 90 seconds. This was the 2nd Delta IV-M+ 5,4 flight and 18th of the Delta IV rocket.
