Cave Story 3D review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Cave Story 3D for Nintendo 3DS. Y'know, it's got everything right in the title. It's a story, about caves, and it's in 3D. Granted, said story about caves was an indie game phenomenon, which took the world by storm with its tight, retro-styled platforming and entertaining sense of humor. This rebuild - true to the mechanics, but boasting a complete graphical overhaul - comes courtesy of Nippon-Ichi, who brought their own brand of madness to the translation (and inserted a Prinny hat.
