Argentina is also suffering through a severe drought but researchers there may have found a way to protect farmers.
Scientists have genetically engineered a new type of soy that is resistant to drought and extreme heat by implanting a sunflower gene in crops like soy, corn and wheat to make those seeds more resistant to drought and soil salinity.
