Protests continue in Libya

In Libya people are waking up to a twelfth day of turmoil. br br But longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi and his son Saif al-Islam say they are going nowhere.br br Despite growing support for anti-government demonstrators, both at home and abroad, there's been a call for "concrete action" by Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary-general.br br And its most powerful body votes on fresh sanctions against Gaddafi and his entourage.br br This after the Libyan leader joined his supporters in the capital - again vowing not to step down from office - and to fight to the end.br br And these are the implications - protesters fired upon in Tripoli, where another crackdown began after Friday prayers. We'll hear from someone who was there.br br But just 50km away in the town of Zawiya there is a different picture. Amateur video appears to show more soldiers switching sides.br br Al Jazeera's Tarek Bazley reports.
