Spain unveils spending cuts to tackle deficit

Spain's new conservative government has approved austerity measures, including $11.5bn in spending cuts.br br It is also maintaining a freeze on public servants' pay and banning almost all hiring.br br It says the budget deficit for 2011 is expected to be eight per cent of national income - the previous government put it at six per cent.br br Al Jazeera's Jonah Hull reports from Madrid.
