Rowers Helen Glover and Heather Stanning won the women's pair in front of 25,000 screaming fans, before Bradley Wiggins, the reigning Tour de France cycling champion, won the men's time trial. Al Jazeera's Lee Wellings was in London, watching as Wiggins finished in a blistering time, beating out the competition by 42 seconds.
