Jordan feels the pinch of rising food prices

Extreme weather in the world's leading food-producing countries, along with rising fuel costs, will mean that shoppers will have to spend more this winter.

Last year as protests spread across the Arab world, people in Jordan also protested about the price of food. It is still an issue in Amman, where people continue to feel the pinch, and in the coming months the price of food is likely to go up.

Al Jazeera's Jane Ferguson reports from Amman, Jordan.
