Police in both Malaysia and Singapore are looking into ways to prosecute the couple, but the issue is complicated for a number of reasons.br br For one, Tan, a National University of Singapore (NUS) law student, committed the "crime" in Singapore, making it difficult for Malaysia to punish the pair. Singapore can't do anything either, because the couple are both currently in Malaysia. A good portion of the material itself was hosted on US-based sites, which Malaysian law does not cover. br br Neither Lee nor Tan seem too concerned about all the attention they're getting. In fact, they said the purpose of publishing the photos was to display their deep love for each other. The only reason they took their blog down was because of mounting (pun intended) pressure from their families. br br When to asked if he was worried about what his school would do, Tan told the Straits Times, "What can [NUS] do? Terminate my scholarship or expel me? I can't say I will be fine with it, but if it happens, I can accept it.
