The Serbian government has approved a major deal with Gazprom on co-operation in the oil and gas sector. Under the draft agreement, Gazprom will buy a 51 stake in the Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) oil monopoly and run the South Stream gas pipeline through Serbia.
