Simplicity is often underrated in carp fishing, so don't mistake basic for ineffective. There are many ways to present a bottom bait but we've chosen one that uses a coated braid for stiffness to push the hook away from the lead, and a peeled-back section to offer flexibility in the carp's mouth.
