EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIALbr br Fights broke out in Venezuela's parliament on Tuesday (April 30), leaving a number of legislators bloodied and injured during an angry session linked to the South American nation's bitter election dispute.br br The opposition said seven of its parliamentarians were attacked and hurt during a protest against a measure to block them from speaking in the National Assembly unless they recognized President Nicolas Maduro's victory in the April 14 election.br br Maduro, who was late socialist leader Hugo Chavez's chosen successor, defeated opposition candidate Henrique Capriles by 1.5 percentage points.br br Capriles has refused to recognise his victory, alleging that thousands of irregularities were committed and the vote "stolen."br br An injured opposition parliamentarian appeared on local television bloodied and bruised saying they would continue their fight.
