This song seems especially pertinent today as George Jones is laid to rest. There are some shoes that are never meant to be filled. I thought about ad-libbing another line about George, but I think with this song it's implied that he's in the list as well. God Bless George Jones, and here's hoping he's getting the rest he needs.
