Back O’Town blues - Carlings 1993
Here comes Back O’Town Blues. Like Louis Armstrong, Gunhild plays a simple but strong trumpet melody and takes her time between phrasing. Gerd on trombone then takes a few vocal chorusses with some great backing by Max on clarinet. Gunhild comes in to play a wonderful bluesy solo on mouthorgan after which Max plays a hot solo and then comes the incredible powerful final churus by the three youngsters in the frontline with Pa Carling on piano, Ma Carling on banjo and son Ulf playing the drums.
