Another death fans the flames in the Middle East.

Palestinian officials say Israeli forces shot Fadel Mohammed Halawa in the northern Gaza Strip.

In an emotional farewell, frustration boils among these men from a nearby refugee camp.

A relative says Halawa had been searching for song birds when his life came to an abrupt end.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) BROTHER OF KILLED MAN, MOHAMED HALAWAH , SAYING:

"The martyr used to go to the east part of the area to work and feed his family. We know how dangerous the area is but he is very poor and ready to sacrifice himself to feed his children. There they shot and killed him."

His death was the first such fatality since a 50-day Gaza war ended in August.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, a Palestinian home sits charred with the words "Death to Arabs" scrawled across its walls.

Residents blame the attack on Jewish settlers.
