KEØMA


Loneliness has followed us our whole life. Everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere. There's no escape. We are the fire god's loneliest children.

Here we sit between our brother the mountain and our sister the sea. We are one in loneliness, and the love that binds us together is deep and strong and strange. It is deeper than our sister's depth and stronger than our brother's strength, and stranger than the strangeness of our madness.

In the stillness of the night our sister murmurs in her sleep the fire god's unknown name, and our brother calls upon the cool and distant goddess. But upon whom we call in our sleep we know not.

It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror... Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared.

This great evil, where did it come from? How did it steal into the world? What seed, what root did it grow from? Who is doing this? Who is killing us, robbing us of life and light, mocking us with the sight of what we might have known? Does our ruin benefit the earth, does it help the grass to grow, the sun to shine? Is this darkness in you, too? Have you passed through this night?

Where is it that we were together? Who were you that we lived with? The brother. The friend. Darkness, light. Strife and love. Are they the workings of one mind? The features of the same face? Oh, our souls. Let us be in you now. Look out through our eyes. Look out at the things you made. All things shining.

Keøma is the golden ocean. The perspiring rain forest. The shadows that fall. The sound of depth and tears. The sound of nature, brother and sister.
