Unlike Ever After High, Monster High doesnt specify who rooms with whom. So we have a bit more freedom to imagine which pairings might work well together. In this case, I decided to pair Skelita Calaveras, daughter of Los Eskeletos, with Isi Dawndancer, daughter of the Deer Spirit. Both are exchange students (they come with cool luggage accessories), both are from the spirit world (Skelita was born undead in the Day of the Dead tradition, while Isis family are all deer spirits), and both have the ability to see the future. In Skelitas case, she feels it in her bones, while in Isis case, she gets visions.\r

I had a lot of fun making this Monster High dorm room for Skelita and Isi. Here are the materials I used, if youd like to follow along:\r

1) The dorm room itself is a 15 x 15 x 30 large open cube (Foremost brand) that I bought off of Amazon.com.\r
2) Skelitas flooring is multi-colored - I cut 7 different pieces of felt into strips to create a Day of the Dead-themed Carpet.\r
3) Skelitas walls are white skeletons dancing around on a black background (Hobby Lobby). I also used 3 Day of the Dead flowers, some thick orange ribbon trim, some thin orange ribbon trim, and a pink-and-green flower ribbon trim (Joann Fabrics).\r
4) Skelitas window frame is painted orange (window frame came from the Mayberry Street brand at Hobby Lobby). The background comes from the Beast Bites Cafe box.\r
5) Skelitas curtains consist of a dowel rod (painted the color Apple Tart,) leftover sugar skulls fabric (from her bed), bright orange ribbon trim, a Day of the Dead flower decoration, and leftover ribbon trim and flower bling.\r
6) Skelitas wardrobe is a Day of the Dead-themed shadow box I bought at Michaels around Halloween of 2016. I hot-glued in a popsicle stick (that I painted Apple Tart as well) to hold up her clothes.\r
7) Skelitas ottoman or stool is a sugar skull decor item I found at Michaels, also during Halloween 2016.\r
8) Isis floor is a black and white aztec-patterned scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby.\r
9) Isis walls are from A Day At The Beach scrapbook paper pack. I chose the one that looked like wooden sticks/logs.\r
10) Isis wall decor is a steer skull charm that I found at Hobby Lobby and loved.\r
11) Isis window frame was painted red, and I cut out another piece of the Beast Bites Cafe box as background.\r
12) Isis curtains consist of tassels of feathers wound around a chenille stem.\r
13) Isis plant is a wooden planter painted gold and turned upside down, with various heights of chenille stems poked through. I like how it looks like desert brush.\r
14) I found a very cheap hairpiece that had a Navajo pattern at Hobby Lobby, which I decided to cut apart and use as a wall hanging.\r
15) Isis rug is a piece of craft fur that I cut to resemble a buffalo shape.it was pretty easy to do, and I didnt try to make it too even.\r
