The formula would be as follows:\r

To determine the starting square size:\r
Step 1: The box height + the square size\r
Step 2: Multiply Step 1 by 1.5. The answer is your starting square size (and includes your seam allowance).\r

To determine the corner length to sew:\r
The box height is always the length of the sewn corner.\r
\r
Example:\r
\r
If you want a 4-high and 6-square box, then:\r
\r
The starting square size is:\r
Step 1: 4 + 6 = 10\r
Step 2: 10 x 1.5 = 15 starting square size.\r
\r
The corner length is 4 (the same as the height of the box)
