Big relief for terror convict Devinderpal Bhullar, today the Supreme Court commuted his death sentence to life term.

The man convicted for killing 9 bystanders in a 1993 car bombing case intended to kill politician MS Bitta, will now be set free after the Supreme Court commuted his death sentence. In its order Court stated that inordinate delay has damaged the case.

Medical reports claim Bhullar has lost his mental stability to become incoherent and incomprehensible. His mental health has also been shown to be in extreme disorientation.

In January this year, the Supreme Court stopped the 15 death row prisoners on the grounds that "inordinate and inexplicable" delays in hanging are grounds for reducing the penalty.
