In Milkwaukee, police claimed that a 14-year old boy survived after being accidentally dumped into a recycling truck and compacted several times.
The 14- year old boy, who had run away from a boot-camp style school, was surprised to find himself deposited into a truck after seeking refuge in a cardboard filled recycling bin.
A Waste Management truck picked up the bin during regular collections on Monday, and the boy and the bins’ contents were dumped in the rear of the vehicle, where they were compacted along the trucks regular route several times.
Lynn Morgan, Waste Management spokeswoman said the boy was later found once the truck dumped its total load at a recycling processing center.
Police stated the boy was then rushed to hospital and has been treated. Despite some bumps and bruises and a potentially crushed ego, the boy’s injuries are not life threatening.
