The Chinese medical workers on the front line of the coronavirus fight in Wuhan

Medical workers in central China are racing against time to treat coronavirus patients in hospitals at the epicentre of the outbreak in Wuhan, the capital of the central province of Hubei. Some voluntarily joined medical teams, while many others were mobilised by authorities to work in Wuhan hospitals as confirmed cases and death figures continue to rise. As of February 12, 2020, China had confirmed 44,318 infections and 1,110 deaths from the Covid-19 illness caused by the virus.
