Focusing on high-end vehicles, NIO will soon launch its second brand, Onvo, on May 15.

Onvo L60, the first model under the NIO onvo brand, is positioned as a home-type smart pure electric SUV. At the same time, the official also announced that the Onvo L60 will redefine the new standard of family cars.

Why is the brand name "onvo"? NIO's official statement is: "Every road spent with family members is a happy road", so we named our second brand "onvo". In the future, new cars under the Onvo brand will also target the mainstream family market and aim to offer family users a better brand and product experience.

From the perspective of the product itself, the shape of the L60 is very similar to NIO's previous EC6 model, which adopts the fastback coupe design style. The entire vehicle resembles the well-known BMW X4.

Of course, the reason why the L60 looks this way is probably also influenced by the styling design of the Tesla Model Y.

In terms of interior space, it is reported that the L60 will adopt the horizontal central control screen shape similar to the Nio ET9 and have a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. In this way, the vehicle will give people a feeling of spaciousness. Additionally, the new car will be equipped with an AC charging port to better meet home charging piles and increase the frequency of use.

In terms of power, the L60 will provide two battery packs, 60kWh and 90kWh. The first is a lithium iron phosphate battery pack provided by BYD, and the second is a triple lithium battery pack provided by CATL. It is worth noting that the new battery pack size will be compatible with the existing third-generation battery swap station, but the thickness will be thinner to free up more space in the vehicle's cockpit. Therefore, the comfort performance of the entire vehicle during actual driving can also be improved to some extent, and everyone can look forward to it.

There are also reports that the L60 will be built entirely on a 900V silicon carbide platform and will feature MacPherson at the front + five-link independent suspension at the rear.
