Without taking a breath, 4 months after Lloyd Klein completed his work at the House of Gres, he presented his acclaimed tribute to Surrealism with a tribute to Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. What's most interesting about this collection is that while it seems like a complete departure from the draping flowy and greco goddess world of GRES it is very much akin to the architectural side of Madame Gres's work. In this rare insiders footage of intimate in-house Parisian style of collection presentation, references to the harmony of opposites is engaging and brilliant. Interestingly, if this same collection were shown today, it might be heralded as the avant garde and forward trend of fashion.
