Google India MD Says By 2016, 100 Million Indians Will Buy Products Online

At a time when online versus offline retail is slugging it out for the lucrative Indian market, Google India MD Rajan Anandan says this is a passing phase and online sales will give even offline merchants access to more customers. In an exclusive chat with ET NOW, Anandan adds that e-commerce will drive economic growth in the country and also generate employment, two of the key issues that the Modi government is focusing on.
