Attempted murder: Thugs ambush & shoot 6 times at Las Vegas taxicab driver Frank O'Grady

Frank O'Grady, a driver for the A Cab Taxi company in Las Vegas, was nearly killed in an ambush just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

O'Grady pulled into a cul-de-sac on Copper Stone Court and approached a young man who he thought may have called for a cab. While the young thug distracted the 62-year-old driver from the passenger side, another thug crept up from behind with a handgun.

When O'Grady spotted the gunman, he quickly drove away as the gunman fired six times. O'Grady was struck once in the shoulder and once in the stomach. He managed to pull into a truck stop where police and paramedics were having a coffee break. O'Grady lost consciousness on the way to the hospital where he is currently recovering.

Police have not yet made an arrest.
