A facelifted petrol variant of the Audi A6 has been launched in India. Earlier the car was launched with only diesel units. The new petrol version will be powered by 1.8-litre turbo petrol unit that develops 187.7bhp and 32.6kgm of torque. In terms of size, the engine is smaller than its older siblings, but boy it packs a punch. The new engine produces 10.7bhp more power than the older version.

Unlike in the previous model which had a CVT, the engine in this one has been mated to a new seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

A lot of design changes both on the interior and the exterior of the car can be seen. The biggest change on the outside in the petrol model is the fact that it does not have the new Matrix LED, instead it comes with the traditional LED headlights. It also does not have the S-Line body kit of Audi that we had seen in the previous model.

On the inside, the A6 petrol gets the same updated infotainment system like the one on the diesel model and eight airbags. But here again it misses out on the BOSE stereo system.
