*Samantha Bee and Glenn Beck try to find common ground*

Politics can make for strange alliances. In the wake of Donald Trump’s victory, it’s not just liberals who are up in arms. Glenn Beck, who first gained fame as an outspoken and hyperbolic critic of the Obama administration, has recently changed his tune, endorsing Black Lives Matter and declaring his opposition of Trump. So, in the name of good-faith coalition building, Samantha Bee interviewed Beck on Monday’s episode of Full Frontal. Dressed in colorful Christmas sweaters, the two media personalities began by noting the natural animosity of their respective audiences.

“My audience hates your guts,” Beck said.

“My audience wants to kill me for normalizing a lunatic like yourself,” Bee said.

Although there was obvious tension, both Bee and Beck seemed to agree that now was the time to reach across the aisle and find common ground.

“I think that our future is going to require a broad coalition of non-partisan decency,” Bee said. “It’s not just individual people against Donald Trump, it’s all of us against Trumpism.”

“As a guy who has done damage, I don’t want to do any more damage,” Beck said.
