Actress Priyanka Chopra has lashed out at Mallika Sherawat for calling India a 'regressive nation for women' on an international platform. Mallika made this comment during an interview with an international publication at the recently-concluded 66th Cannes International Film Festival.
At a recent event, the actress was quoted saying that she thinks that we are a progressive nation and that she was extremely offended by Mallika's statements. She felt that her comments were an extreme misrepresentation of our nation.
In her interview, Mallika also claimed that she was the first actress in India to kiss on screen and wear a bikini. It'll be interesting to see if Mallika reacts to Priyanka's comments.
