The US Army Corp of Engineers released water from Falls Lake, North Carolina, into the Neuse River on May 1.


Water levels at Falls Lake rose by 10 feet above normal after last week’s heavy rainfall.

The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers began releasing water on Sunday, April 30 and will continue to release thousands of gallons for at least two weeks.
